LARRY ‘LIGHTNING’ TISCH

Larry “Lightning” Tisch, 83, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011.
Best Dad in the World to Cindy (Jim) Cousineau, Sandra Tisch (Rob Semancik), and Connie Tisch (Tim Smith); proud Grandpa to Michael Tisch (Jordyn Urban), Jeremy and Britney Cousineau, and Nolan and Carly Smith; and proud new Great-Grandpa to Jessiah Tisch.
Predeceased by his daughter’s mother, Myrna Malyon (2008), and survived by Myrna’s husband, Bud Malyon.
Will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Bill, Muriel, the late Margaret, Rose Marie, George, Beth, and Barbara and their families.
Larry had fond memories of Quetico Park, where he was a park ranger. Larry also spent 40 years hauling cars, starting with Busch Transport in Fort Frances, Ont. and retired from Auto Haulaway.
Larry will be missed by his friends and the staff at the Husky Truck Stop. Larry enjoyed canoeing, dancing, bowling, golfing, and riding his bike.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 from 10 a.m.-noon at Victoria Greenlawn Memorial Chapel & Visitation Centre (1525 Highway 3, one km west of Walker Road).
A service to celebrate Larry’s life will follow in the chapel at noon, with interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
