LALAH A. ASPLUND

Lalah A. Asplund (Alexander), age 74, of Grand Rapids, Mn. went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 10, 2009.
She was born in International Falls and also lived in Britt, Mn. prior to moving to Grand Rapids in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, church activities, golf outings, ladies hiking club, and ladies bible study.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bill Bocnuk; and brothers, Wesley and Kenneth.
She is survived by her loving husband, Iven; daughter, Debby Bocnuk; sons, Brent (Cheryl) Bocnuk and Jonas (Maria) Asplund; grandchildren, William, Benjamin, Lacey, and Joshua; sisters, Lorraine Supple and Bonnie Lewis; and brother, Gordon “Buzz” Alexander.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Mn. at 1 p.m.. on Friday, July 17, 2009, with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. George B. Gilbertson will officiate.
Memorial donations may be sent to the following churches in lieu of flowers: St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Sand Lake Chapel in Britt, and Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, Ont.
Arrangements are by the Rowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
