It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Kyle Lorne Blight, 22, of Fort Frances, Ont., on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011.
Kyle was born April 13, 1989 in Fort Frances.
Kyle was an extremely hard worker who was employed in various positions in the Rainy River District. He currently was employed at Commissioner Bay Construction.
Kyle’s greatest joy was spending time at the cabin on Rainy Lake. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. If he could have, he would have lived at the lake year-round.
He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially working alongside his Grandpa on various projects.
The love of his life was his beautiful little princess, Lizzy. He was a very proud father.
Kyle’s infectious smile and sparkling blue eyes lit up any room he walked into. He had a great sense of humour and was extremely loyal to his family and friends.
Kyle also had a love for country music, both new and classic.
Left to cherish Kyle’s memory are his parents, Angie (Darryl) Godin and John Blight; daughter, Elizabeth Kae Blight; brother, Curtis Blight; sisters, Erika and Rylee Godin; and grandparents, Lorne and Vicky Whalen and Betty Blight.
He also will be missed by his aunts, Terri (Greg) Spicer, Jennifer (Chris) Mounk, Stacey (Larry) Bragg, and Jennifer (Terry) Eide; cousins, Sierra and Colton Spicer and Gemma Amidon, Lynton, Mikael, and Kali Mounk, Jeff, Jaimie, and Natasha Bragg, and Alex and Jada Eide.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, David Blight; great-grandparents, Elizabeth and John Blight, Victor and Margaret Thompson, and Minard and Evelyn Whalen; and aunt, Marie McKinnon.
Friends are invited to join the family for prayers on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Fr. Francis Pudicherry officiating.

‘I’m Free’
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I’m following the path God laid for me, I’m free.
I took His hand when I heard him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the end of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I to, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I’ve savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
