Kim Marie Wilson (nee Gustafson) passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on Sept. 14, 2015 at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Kim will be sadly missed by her best friend and soul mate, Les Waltz.
She also leaves behind two children, Samantha and A.J. Wilson; siblings, Craig Gustafson (Suzanne), Kristine McCaig (Mark), and Jennifer Cabrel (Antero); as well as her niece and nephews.
Kim was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Barb Gustafson; and her brother, Bradley Gustafson.
Kim was raised in Fort Frances and spent many treasured summers with her family at Gusty Beach on Red Gut Bay (Rainy Lake). She loved the lake, the serenity, and all the nature and wildlife that it offered.
In her younger years, she loved to go for bike rides and spent many hours biking around town and up to the Five -Mile Dock.
Kim loved to cook and was a great chef. She enjoyed many long walks through her favourite park, Willestead Park in Windsor.
She also loved all animals and just before becoming ill had brought a beautiful golden Lab puppy, Levi, home.
Kim requested there be no visitation or service, and cremation has taken place.
A private family tribute to Kim will be held at later date on the shores of Rainy Lake.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society.
We will meet again, when we least expect it,
One day in some far-off place, we will recognize your face,
We won’t say goodbye, my sister, for we will meet again.
