KENNETH M. CONLON

The children sadly announces the passing of their father, Kenneth M. Conlon, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at his residence at Parkwood Veterans Hospital in London, Ont.
Ken was born Aug. 23, 1925 in Kenora, Ont. At a young age, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy and survived a torpedoing of his ship just before World War II ended.
Ken later lived in Nestor Falls, Ont. and Fort Frances, Ont. while working for Mando for almost 20 years. When Camp 309 at Caliper Lake closed, he eventually ended up working for the Ministry of Natural Resources in Fort Frances, transferring to London until he retired in 1988.
Ken is survived by his sons, Bob (Doreen) of Fort Frances, Ont. and Kerry (Adair) of Thunder Bay, Ont.; daughter, Bonnie (Bill) of Cobourg, Ont.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Cecile, and son, Casey.
Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at the chapel at Parkwood Veterans Hospital.
