KENNETH JOHN McTAVISH

Kenneth John McTavish passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 at the age of 85 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Ken was born on Oct. 3, 1931 in La Vallee, Ont. to John (Jack) and Audrey Mae Williams. He attended the one-room La Vallee School and Fort Frances High School.

In almost 30 years of retirement, Ken was able to pursue and enjoy his interests of prospecting, hunting, fishing, gardening, travel, swapping stories with his coffee gang, and, most importantly, following what was going on with his kids and grandkids.
Ken was predeceased by his parents; his step-mother, Leah; brothers, Don (Shannon) Jim and Ed; and infant great-granddaughter, Athena Blue Denham.
On Aug. 18, 1956, Ken was united in marriage to Joan (Oster) and celebrated 60 years of marriage together this past August.

Ken was a fiercely loyal and proud grandfather to Katie McTavish (Steve Denham), Spencer McTavish (Marina Buziak), Mallory Donaldson (Bob Flegel), Ian McTavish, Emily Donaldson (Casey Peever), and Benjamin McTavish.
