KENNETH EARL JACKSON

Kenneth Earl Jackson (a.k.a. Ken, Kenny, or K.J.) passed away at home, after a lengthy battle against prostate cancer, on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the age of 82.
He was born in Barwick Township, Ont. on July 10, 1932.
Growing up on the family farm, he learned to appreciate what he worked for. After working a variety of jobs, he moved to Kenora, Ont. in 1970 and settled into a career with the MTO as an auto body mechanic.
The beloved camper and honourary mayor of the Lount Lake Road leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Ruth; two daughters, Brenda and Diane (Richard); grandchildren, Steve, Sean, Megan, and Jodi; and six great-grandchildren.
Also left to mourn his loss are his surviving siblings, Glen (Karen), Esther, Jimmy (Maureen), and Everett; as well as other family and friends.
Ken wanted to be cremated, but didn’t wish to have a funeral, so a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora.
