KENNETH (BUD) EINAR LARSON

October 13, 1935 – May 17, 2026

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, great-grandpa who peacefully passed away at the Rainy River Hospital with his family by his side.

Dad was born at home in Tovell Township, Ontario to Einar and Esmeralda.

Dad went west, working various jobs in Alberta, where he met the love of his life, Mabel Burnham. They married in Edmonton, on October 20, 1953. Dad was a bush worker. He worked on oil rigs in Alberta and a diamond mine in the Yukon Territories. Eventually, Dad moved back to his roots, working as a logger and a farmer, but farming being his main passion. Dad always said, “it takes two lifetimes to be a farmer, one to build it and one to enjoy it.”

Left to cherish his memory are his children Linda (Doug Kreger), Carol (Alvin McClain), Darrel (Wanda); grandchildren Stacy (Pat Steele), Troy (Georgia), Tracy, Wendy (Chad Wrolstad), Michelle (Mike Hardy), Bob (Sharon), Jeremy (Georgia); great-grandchildren Olivia (Kenny Skerritt), Nina, Gus, Marly, Mya, Trip, Dax, Kostadino; also survived by his two sisters Clarice Gustafson and Linda Jewell.

Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Mable; infant daughter Norma; parents Einar and Esmeralda; siblings Alfred, Hulda, Grace, Wallace and Wayne.

As for Dad’s wishes there will be no funeral, he was cremated and will be laid to rest at a later date. We like to thank the Rainy River Hospital and the doctors, nurses and staff for all the love and care given to our father.
