KENNETH ALEXANDER McDONALD

Kenneth Alexander McDonald passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct.31, 2010 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care while surrounded by his family.
Ken was born on Oct. 22, 1922 to the late William and Clara McDonald.
He married the love of his life Patricia Iola Brigham on Feb. 19, 1949.
He lived in the Emo area his entire life and worked at CNR for 35 years until retiring in 1987.
A “Tough Scotsman,” Ken faced daunting challenges with vigor and determination.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors cutting pulp wood, riding his snowmobile, and tending to the yard.
He was especially proud of his family and took every opportunity to praise them.
He was always eager to offer a helping hand or go for coffee with family and friends.
He appreciated all who touched his life and loved to entertain them by singing or throwing down a push-up challenge.
Ken moved to Rainycrest in 2007 where he enjoyed visitors, chapel times, and music events.
He enjoyed and appreciated the staff and his family is grateful for the wonderful care he received there.
Ken was a kind and generous man and will be greatly missed.
Ken was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Iola Brigham, on Feb. 6, 2003.
He is survived by his son, Eldon/Debbie (daughter Hadleigh Meek) of Kansas City; daughter, Myrna/George Miller of Crozier; his grandchildren, Jamie/Kim McDonald of Kenora, Melanie Miller of Crozier, and Chad/Sally Miller of Farmington, Mn.; his great-grandchildren, Alyssa/Matt, Jasmin, and Grace; and great-great-granddaughter, Lilly; sister, Jean Bolen; and sister-in-law, Diane McDonald.
He is also survived by sister-in-laws, Shirley King, Elsie Skinner, Evelyn/Herman Loveday, Lucille/Joe Cayou, Sylvia Hyatt/Tim Rowe, and Mary Lou Brigham; and brother-in-laws Herb Brigham and Marvin Hele.
At his request, a service will be held for the family.
