The family of Keith Gordon Munro announce his passing on October 4, 2025. Keith passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Keith was born on Feb 6, 1947, at La Verendrye Hospital to James & Mary Ellen Munro.
Left to cherish Keith’s memory is his son Cory Munro (Theresa) and his beloved grandchildren Taylor Munro (Ben Raison), Kaitlin Munro (Dayna) and Tyler Munro (Wendy); he is also survived by his brothers Jack Munro (Geraldine), Donny Munro and Jimmy Munro. Keith also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces whom he loved and will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty Munro; his son Toby Munro; and his siblings Fred Munro and Janice Ross.
Keith worked various jobs but ended his career working at the Township of Fort Frances at the Water Treatment plant. He retired in 2012.
Keith’s passion was fishing and hunting. He spent countless hours with family and friends in a boat enjoying fishing and was always quick to rib anyone who he out-fished. He enjoyed gardening and many were gifted with the fruits of his labour, his pickles being especially coveted.
Keith devoted many hours to the restoration of the Dance Community Hall which was especially dear to him.
A service of remembrance will be held at the Dance community Hall on Oct 9 at 1:00 p.m.
