KEITH ALLEN PATERSON

With heavy hearts and much sadness, the family of Keith Allen Paterson announces his passing on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at the Emo Health Centre in Emo, Ont.
Keith was born Nov. 11, 1939 in Emo to Bob and Hazel Paterson.
One of Keith’s first jobs was working in a bush camp with his dad at Mando Camp 309. He then worked for the Department of Land and Forest, where he was in the fire tower at Beaver House.
He then went back to school at Red River Trade School in Winnipeg, Man., where he took an upholstery course, which he continued to do part-time for the rest of his life.
Keith was united in marriage to the love of his life, Gail Fisher, on Aug. 10, 1963. His other jobs included guiding, the Dryden paper mill, and the Department of Highways.
Keith and Gail then moved back to Emo, where he farmed and also worked for the OPP and the Municipality of Emo, until retiring at the age of 60.
Keith loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and visiting with his many friends. But most of all he loved his grandson, Brandon. Keith would attend every function Brandon was involved in. He followed his hockey and would never miss a game or tournament.
