KAY (KATHERINE JOAN) WILSON

It is with great sadness that the family of Kay (Katherine Joan) Wilson announces her sudden passing on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 at the Riverside health care facility in Fort Frances, Ont.
Kay was born Sept. 28, 1938 in Emo, Ont., where she was a life-long resident. She started bookkeeping for Martin’s Transfer right out of high school, then on to Norlund Oil, where she worked for many years until her retirement.
Kay enjoyed fishing, gardening, and the outdoors, and had a life-long love of horses and dogs, especially her pal “Laddie.” She also loved to spend time with her nieces, nephews, their children, and her many close friends.
Kay was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Roy Wilson, both of Emo, Ont.; and a nephew, Kevin of Prince Albert, Sask.
She leaves behind a sister, Gloria (Jim Sheloff) of Emo, Ont.; brother, Dave of Prince Albert, Sask.; nephews, John Wilson (Teena), Curtis Sheloff (Harriet), Todd Wilson (Julie), and Colin Sheloff (Kelli); and nieces, Carol Anderson (Peter), Kathy Galusha (Doug), and Roseanne Johnson (Jeff).
Also surviving are her great-nieces and nephews, Jackie Hovis (Jason), Laura Zika (Luke), Amber Sheloff, Paul Galusha, Kate Anderson, Caitlin Wilson, Alyssa (Wilson), Lindsey Sheloff, Bryan and Aaron Johnson, Aleena Wilson, Michael Sheloff, and Aurora Wilson; as well as two great-great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial to honour Kay’s contribution to the many lives she has touched will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Emo Knox United Church, with Rev. Eileen Bragg officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be her nephews John, Curtis, and Colin, nieces, Carol and Kathy, and great-niece, Amber.
