It is with the utmost sadness that the family announces Justina’s passing on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005.
Jessie was born at home in Neuanlauge, Sask. on Oct. 10, 1930.
She married William Derksen on July 12, 1953. They moved to Emo, Ont. in 1963 and spent many happy years together, raising a family of four children.
She loved her family and was happiest with them by her side. Family gatherings were most important to her. She also loved to garden, play games, and visit with friends and relatives.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband, William; father and mother, Isaac and Anna Fehr; and brother, Cornelius Fehr.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Brian) Williams of Emo, Ont.; son, William (Kathy) Derksen of Stratton, Ont.; son, Wesley (Carol) Derksen of Fort Frances, Ont.; and daughter, Carolyn (Dwight) Stang of Emo, Ont.; nine grandchildren, Sherri (Jason) King, Owen Williams, Tyler and Travis Derksen, Chelsey, Cole, and Jilayne Derksen, and Wade and Kayla Stang; and three great-grandchildren.
Jessie also is survived by her brothers and sisters, Anna (Henry) Penner of Hague, Sask., Helen Wiebe of Regina, Sask., Margaret (George) Derksen of La Crete, Alta., Peter (Anna) Fehr of Emo, Ont., Mary Bodnaruk (Pete) of Oyen, Alta., Isaac (Sharon) Fehr of Taber, Alta., Tina (Nick) Bloudoff of Coaldale, Alta., Susan (Henry) Martens of Fort Vermilion, Alta., John (Shirley) Fehr of Rainy River, Ont., and Betty (Wayne) Herdman of Calgary, Alta.; and sister-in-law, Anna Fehr of Emo, Ont.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 from 7:30-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Chapel (one mile north of Stratton), with Mr. Harry Bergen officiating.
Internment will take place at the Barwick cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tyler, Travis, Owen, Wade, Cole, and Jason.
For the past six years, Jessie enjoyed living at the Golden Age Manor in Emo, making new friends and joining in the activities. In memoriam donations may be made to the Golden Age Manor, P.O. Box 366, Emo, Ont., P0W 1E0.
She will be greatly missed.
