JUNE (STOREY) HACKING

June (Storey) Hacking, née Roth, 78, of Kamloops, B.C., passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sept. 25, 2013 at the Lakeview Lodge in Kelowna, B.C.
She was born June 20, 1935 in Pinewood, Ont.
June started her career as a registered practical nurse (RPN) at Atikokan General Hospital, and lived and worked there for 20 years.
She continued her career in Kelowna, then Kamloops, where she retired from the Royal Inland Hospital in 1995.
Her dedication to, and love for, her work was admired by many; she always took great pride in helping others.
In June’s downtime, she loved working her green thumb, tending her garden and plants, and also was an avid crafter.
She is survived by her children, Linda Angus of Atikokan, Ont., Wayne (Susan) Storey, Larry (Dawn) Storey, and Jo-Anne (Ray) Sims; grandchildren, Colleen Storey, Tiffany Angus, Tina Wirst, Melissa Sims, Tracy Angus, Brittany Sims, and Courtney Sims; and six great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her siblings, Harold (Priscilla) Roth, Ellen Belbas, Gerry (Bill) Cullen, Earl Roth, and Dwayne (Leone) Roth; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
June was predeceased by husband, John Hacking; parents, Germaine and Norman Roth; grandson, Jason Storey; brother, Donald Roth; and in-laws, Ernie Multimaki, Maureen Roth, and Harry Belbas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church in Kamloops.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the BC Lung Association would be appreciated.
