JUDY ANN LeGARDE

The husband of Judy LeGarde, along with her family (Yerxa), sorrowfully announce the passing of Judy Ann LeGarde, 47, of 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., formerly of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., on Monday, June 1, 2009 at her residence.
Judy was born Nov. 23, 1961 in Fort Frances. On June 2, 2006, Judy was united in marriage to Cifford LeGarde at the hospital chapel in Fort Frances.
Judy’s cats were like children to her. She was well-known as the “All Star” by her family and close friends because of her love and passion in watching wrestling. She also loved spending time with her family fishing whenever time permitted.
Judy will be missed dearly by her family and friends alike.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert Yerxa Sr.; brother, Ron Yerxa; sister-in-law, Marlene Yerxa; and her beloved cat, Tigar.
Judy is survived by her husband, Clifford LeGarde of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; mother, Hilda Yerxa of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; four brothers, Allan (Tracy) Yerxa of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., John (Pamela) Yerxa and Patrick Yerxa of Stanjikoming First Nation, Ont., and Robert (Chug) Yerxa Jr. of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; and three sisters, Donna (Bill) Perrault and Sandy Yerxa, all of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., and Peggy (Robin) Yerxa of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Couchiching First Nation. Fr. Frances Pudicherry will officiate, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
A wake will be held Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 3 p.m. at the Multi-use Facility at Couchiching First Nation.
The pallbearers will be Rodney Yerxa, Robin LeGourrierec, Patrick Yerxa, Allan Yerxa Jr., John Yerxa, David Yerxa, Bill Perrault, and George Bruyere.
