Mrs. Judith Lynne MacDonald (nee Marr) passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, in hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 after a brief illness.
Judy was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ont. She came to Thunder Bay to train as a nursing student and became an RN working at McKellar Hospital.
She currently worked at C.C.A.C.
She enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, shopping, and her dogs, Whisky and Tyler.
Judy is survived by her husband, Hector; sisters, Nancy (Bob), Sandra, Wendy (Eric), Susan, Peggy, Barb, and Cathy (Tim); brother Jim (Brenda); sisters-in-law, Christina (Jerry) and Babs (Steve); and brothers-in-law, Ian (Pat) and Bill (Rosallee).
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore St. at James, in Thunder Bay, with Rev. Deborah Kraft officiating.
Interment followed at Mountainview Cemetery in Thunder Bay.
Visitation for family and friends was held Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
