JOSEPHINE (SLOBODA) BUDISELIC

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Josephine “Jessie” Budiselic (nee Sloboda), 91, on Thursday, March 20, 2008.
Jessie was born July 5, 1916 in Winnipeg, Man.
She will be remembered as the sweetest, most thoughtful and caring lady who really loved and treasured her family.
She enjoyed cooking, especially for large family gatherings and celebrations together. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren, which meant the world to her.
Jessie is survived by her children, Albert, Edward, Beverly, Robert (Michelle), Mary Ann (Tony) and Marvin (Margaret); grandchildren, Michael, Shannon (Rick), William (Vivian), Tina (Patrick), Jeff (Samantha), Andrew (Claudia), Cory, Jessica, Andrea, and Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Dalton, Cayden, Xavier, Isis, and Zachary.
Also left to mourn her passing is her brother, Stanley Sloboda of Fort Frances, Ont.; and sisters, Mary (Victor) Lindholm and family of Fort Frances, Ont. and Anne (Everett) Ramsey and family of International Falls, Mn.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; two sons, Ronald and Jerry; granddaughter, Donna Tebbenham; and great-granddaughters, Josie Taylor Bloskie-Budiselic and Nellie Leikam.
Private family funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in the Everest Funeral Chapel in Thunder Bay, Ont., with the Rev. Randy Boyd of Trinity United Church officiating.
Private family interment will take place on Mother’s 92nd birthday Saturday, July 5, 2008 in Riverside Cemetery.
