Joseph R. (Cha-Chee) Huls-Meunier, 44, passed away peacefully on Monday Jan. 7, 2008 at the Royal Columbia Hospital in New Westminster, B.C.
Joe was born Feb. 6, 1963 and grew up in Rainy River, Ont. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying snowmobiling, hockey, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Joe also was a member of the Canadian Army reserves.
Joe is survived by his friend, Desiree Haigh and her four children of Surrey, B.C.; his daughter, Myriah Huls of Lethbridge, Alta.; his mother, Carol Meunier of Stratton, Ont.; and sister, Joanne (Robin) McQuaker, also of Stratton, Ont.
Joe also is survived by his nephew, Jason (Stacey) McQuaker and their children, Presley and Annika, of Emo, Ont.; nieces, Janelle (Mike) Gullett and their daughter, Grace, of Red Deer, Alta., and Julie McQuaker of Lethbridge, Alta.; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Joe was predeceased by his father, Alphonse Meunier.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River at a later date.
