It is with great sorrow that the family of Jon (Jonathan) Medicine announces his passing on Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
To those who had the privilege of knowing Jon, he was many things-son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. He loved his family and took pride in watching his nieces and nephews grow and learn.
Jon was a carefree young man who lived a simple life. His days revolved around his family, brother, Curtis, and sister, Kristi, and his many friends.
He always was willing to help wherever he could, tackiling odd jobs around family homes and helping with yard work. He always was up for a visit and conversation over a good pot(s) of coffee.
The closeness of family and friends was most important to Jon, and he was known to all as a kind, gentle, and giving person. He was wlling to share what little he had and open his door to anyone in need without judgement.
Jon took pride in his time working as a community groundskeeper and was proud to call Rainy River First Nations his home. Jon will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
