Jonathan Kenneth Cleaveley, 67, passed away peacefully with his wife and family at his side in the Atikokan General Hospital on Saturday, March 11, 2000 after a brief bout with cancer.
He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by Gloria, his wife and companion for 45 years; daughter, Laurel and husband, Ed Halvorsen, of Fort Frances, Ont.; son, David and his wife, Rita, of Dryden, Ont.; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew Cleaveley.
Also surviving are two sisters, Joan Wolfe of Calgary, Alta., and Ruth Brown of Winnipeg, Man.; and his brother, Bill of Sudbury, Ont.
John was predeceased by his parents, Albert Cleaveley in 1966 and Grace Cleaveley in 1979.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date, followed by interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
