John William George (“Jake”) Scott passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at the age of 73, at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Jake was born Feb. 25, 1941 in Dobie Township, Ont.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Agnes; brothers, Donald, Jim, and Sandy; sister, Bernice; infant daughter, Teara; as well as his infant grandchildren, Shauna, Justin, and Cameron.
Jake is survived by his daughters, Sandy, Jackie, Deana, Cara, and Jean and Dan, who he considered a son; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by his sisters, Ruth, Clara, Alex, and Ann; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
He will be greatly missed by his cat, “Dolly.”
A celebration of Jake’s life will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at the Barwick Hall.
The pallbearers will be Dan, Ralph, Dave, Virgil, Melvin, and Reggie.
The honourary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brian, Michael, Brandon, Skyeler, Forrest, John, and Jonathon.
