It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Wesley Falloon, 80, of Devlin, Ont., on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Man. surrounded by his family.
John was a very strong man who always put his family first. He fought a very courageous battle with a variety of different illnesses in the last 10 years.
Unfortunately, during the last illness he was too tired to fight. So he went to rest with the angels.
John was a family guy who was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed his lifelong friends and would do anything to help anyone.
John was a very hard-working man. He enjoyed annual hunting, fishing, and camping trips with his family.
John is survived by his wife, Beverley; sons, Richard (Tina), John (Amy), and Cindy (Khurshid); grandchildren, AJ (Cindy), Taylor, Cheyenne, Kayle, Matthew, James, and Daniel; and great-granddaughter, Mae-lee.
He also leaves behind his siblings, Anne Holborn and Blanche Harper; brothers-in-law, Roy Snider and Ralph (Judy) Snider; as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
As well, he will be greatly missed by many special children that he enjoyed raising for many years.
John was predeceased by his parents, James Falloon, and Mary and Joe Stevenson; sister, Lottie Bombay; brother, Bill Falloon; mother-in-law Dora Snider; father-in-law, Roy Snider; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mildred Zolub, Pat Snider, Bill Snider, Louise Grant, Doug Snider, Kathy Snider, and Lyle Snider.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ont., with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating.
A luncheon will follow at the Métis Hall in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers will be all of John’s grandchildren, AJ, Taylor, Cheyenne, Matthew, Kayle, James, and Daniel.
