JOHN LLOYD LARSON

John Lloyd Larson, 67, of Emo, Ont., passed away suddenly Friday, June 19, 1998.
John was born Nov. 23, 1930 in Teulon, Man., and on May 23, 1953 was united in marriage to Marion McDougall. He worked as a camp cook in various locations throughout northern communities in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.
In 1966, John and Marion settled in Emo, where they owned and operated a farm in Lash Township. Then from 1970-1981, they owned and operated a cafe, “The Country Kitchen,” in Emo. John’s enjoyment was to cook and bake, and he often donated his time helping at many banquets and suppers.
His love was his family, and especially his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Lars Larson.
John is survived by his wife of more than 45 years, Marion Larson of Emo, Ont.; mother, Anna Larson of Winnipeg, Man.; and four sons, Rickard Larson (Rose Mary) of Vermilion Bay, Ont., and their children, Ashley and Craig, Victor Larson (Debbie) of Winnipeg, Man., and their children, David and Holly, Lawrence Larson (Patti) of Miscampbell, Ont., and Donald Larson (Shirley) of Fort Frances, Ont., and their children, Justin, Alyssa, and Jordan.
He also is survived by two brothers, Lawrence Larson (Carol) of Calgary, Alta., and Billy Larson (Irene) of Vancouver, B.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay, Ont.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 25, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Emo Legion in Emo. Eileen Bragg will officiate, with interment in Mulvihill Cemetery in Mulvihill, Man.
Honourary pallbearers will be all of John’s family and friends.
