With wonderful memories and deep sadness, we announce the passing of John Beyak on Friday, Dec. 10, 2004 at the age of 99 at Rainycrest Home for the Aged in Fort Frances, Ont.
John was born Feb. 11, 1905 in Arbaka, Man.
John leaves to mourn two sons, Morris (Gail) of Fort Frances, Ont. and Dennis (Pat) of Winnipeg, Man.; brother, Boris (Marie) of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; grandchildren, Darrell (Christina), Michael (Tamara), Sandra (Gary), Cheryl (Daniel), Curtis (Heather), and Crystal (Jason); great-grandchildren, Holly, Lyndsie, Chelsea, Victoria, Brittany, Quinten, Chelsea, Carter, Nicholas, and Dylan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anne in 1987; his parents, Nicholas and Pauline; brothers, Andrew, Matt, and Mike; and sisters, Mary, Mildred, and Ann.
Special thanks to all the staff at Rainycrest for making his time there comfortable and enjoyable.
Prayers were held Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Steinbach Funeral Home in Steinbach, Man.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Vita, Man.
Fr. Myron Pozniak officiated, followed by interment in the parish cemetery in Vita.
Pallbearers were Michael Beyak, Darrell Beyak, Curtis Beyak, Jim Beyak, Jarvis Beyak, and Frank Fosty.
Forever loved and missed by all who knew him.
