Mrs. Joanne Westra (nee Price), of Edmonton, Alta., passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009.
Joanne is survived by her loving family: husband, John Westra; daughter, Candice; son, Robert (Arlette); mother, Florence Price; sister, Pamela (Paul); and brother, Warren (Lloy).
Also surviving are two nieces; stepchildren, Anthony (Patty), Derek (Cori), John, and Mona (Don); one sister-in-law, Maria (Bob); and 14 grandchildren.
Joanne spent enjoyable summers at the Westra farm, and came back with many stories of the kindness shown her by the people of Fort Frances.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Joanne’s life will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Glenwood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
