It’s with great sadness that the family of James (Jim) Miller announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.
Jim was born May 2, 1962 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Jack and Jean Miller.
He grew up in the north end of Fort Frances, then moved to work for Great Lakes in Ignace, Ont. and, in later years, in the Red Lake and Ear Falls area.
He took great pride in his work. Jim could swing a hammer, too, and he helped many family and friends building homes, including his own.
He always was willing to lend a helping hand.
Jim loved hunting and fishing, but found his true passion when he bought his first Harley (man, he loved his bike). He went on many month excursions with the brothers and rode without a complaint, only a smile on his face.
Jim loved his family and is survived by his sons, James (Danielle) and Charles Trudel, and daughter, Kaitlyn Miller; grandchildren, Trentan, Rebekah, Jordan, and Mikey; brothers, Jack and Sterling (Terry); and sisters, Kathy (Dion) McKenzie and Diana (Wayne) Cross.
He also is survived his very special girlfriend, Sandra McNay, and her daughter, Samantha.
Jim was predeceased by his brother, Scott, and parents, Jack and Jean, of Fort Frances.
A celebration in Jim’s honour will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. at 4117 Highway 601 in Dryden (a.k.a. Jack’s garage).
