On Dec. 19, 1934, Jessie was united in marriage to Alex Borrett in Barwick, Ont. In 1952, the family moved to Atikokan, where Jessie worked as a long-time employee of Eaton’s store.

Family, gardening, and travel were the love of her life but the many friends with whom she played cards and went out for lunch, telephone calls, and visits filled her days with joy.
Jessie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Marjorie Lambkin; granddaughters, Cindy (Jim) Maki, Margie (Rick) Campbell, Patricia Lambkin, and Cara (Mark) Chambers; great-grandchildren, Christi, Lisa, Aaron, Shawna, Dayna, and Fayth, all of Atikokan, Ont.; sister-in-law, Mable Gillies of Emo, Ont.; and by nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; her only brother, Bill Wilkie; and son-in-law, Glen Lambkin.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Riverview United Church in Atikokan with Jeraldine Bjornson officiating.
