Jerry Gesley Beaudette, 84, of West Falls Est., International Falls, Mn., passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at his home.
He was born May 21, 1917 in Watertown, S.D. but he grew up in Minneapolis, Mn. He moved to International Falls in 1979.
On Aug. 3, 1943, he was united in marriage to the former Viola Morrine Mertz in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Jerry worked in the printing department for Gambles Skogmo for several years, and was a salesman for Scriptomatic. He retired to Rainy Lake.
He was involved with the Minneapolis Aquatennial, and was an Aqua Jester. He also was a member of the Minnesota Investors’ Congress, the Minneapolis Athletic Club, and Zion Lutheran Church. He was in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-45.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Eunice (Gesley) Beaudette; and son, Jerry J. Beaudette.
He is survived by his wife, Viola; daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Nelson of Eden Prairie, Mn.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Green-Larsen Memorial Chapel in International Falls, with flag presentation. Rev. Robert Ek will officiate.
Interment will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery in Watertown, S.D. on Monday, June 11, 2001.
