It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Mary-Rose Zub announces her peaceful passing on Friday, July 8, 2005 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. at the age of 79.
She was born Sept. 22, 1925 in Rainford, England to the late James and Rose Huyton. On May 1, 2005, she had been married to the love of her life, Edward Zub, for 59 years.
Jean is survived by her husband, Edward, and their two children, Jeffery (Diana) of Calgary, Alta. and Janis (Colin) French of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jeffery Zub and daughter, Jolyne, Tammy (Joe) Draga and daughters, Kayla and Jessica, and Kristy Zub, all of Calgary, Alta., Lisa French-Moore and daughters, Courtney and Shaylin, of Thunder Bay, Ont., Todd (Melanie) French and children, Jonathan, Heather, Anjelica, Robyn,and Alexadria, all of Devlin, Ont., and Amanda French (Scott McPherson) and baby on the way of Fort Frances, Ont.; one sister, Erma (Robert) Boland of Fort Frances, Ont.; and one sister-in-law, Jo anne Huyton of Pitt Meadows, B.C.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Rose Huyton; step-mother, Joan; and brother, Ronald.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, officiated by Pastor Brian Keffer. Interment took place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends visited Tuesday, July 12, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers were Scott McPherson, Jonathan French, Colin French, Todd French, Murry Snider, and Larry Arch.
A reception at the church followed the service.
