With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Jean Gibson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob.
Jean was the mother of two, Lorne and Eunice; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of 20; and great-great-grandmother of four (with two more “on the way”).
Jean spent her teaching years in Saskatchewan, Rainy River District, and the Thunder Bay area, where she retired in 1971.
Jean will be fondly remembered by her family.
Cremation will take place.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home in Thunder Bay, with Rev. Bert Vancook of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, in memriam donations to the Thunder Bay Food Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
