JEAN CHRISTINA HAYES

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Jean Hayes.
Jean passed away suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. with her family at her side.
She leaves to mourn her husband of 59 years, Wes; son, David (Maxine); daughter, Diane (Harley); daughter-in-law, Jane; five grandchildren, Warren (Shirley), Darwin (Lisa), Chris (Bridgit), Candice (Daryl), and Rochelle; and six great-grandchildren, Keelan, Joleigh, Annalise, Brandon, Kaden, and Brooklin.
She also is survived by one brother, Bill Steele of Atikokan, Ont.; and one sister, Laverne Desserre (Kenny) of Stratton, Ont.
Jean was predeceased by her son, Dennis; and siblings, Gladys, Don, Sunny, Garry, Bob, Lyla, and Peggy.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Fr. Wayne McIntosh officiating.
Interment will take place in Burriss Cemetery in Burriss, Ont. at a later date.
