Janice Faye Klyne, 54, of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
She was born Oct. 23, 1956 in Fort Frances to the late Alfred and Elaine Klyne.
Jan was raised in Fort Frances. She worked as a sales clerk at C.C. Complex for many years. She loved her job, and always had great stories to share with her family about her co-workers and how much fun she had with them at work.
She adored her son and was very proud of him. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, Kendal and Kaleb, the loves of her life who she would do anything for.
There were numerous gatherings with family and friends—something she always loved and enjoyed doing. The last few years she enjoyed going to casinos and playing games on her laptop.
She will be in our memories and hearts forever.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Allen Singleton.
Janice is survived by one son, Jay and Christa Bruyere of Fort Frances, Ont.; two grandchildren, Kendal and Kaleb Bruyere; two brothers, Darrell Klyne (Cindy) of International Falls, Mn. and Bradley Klyne (Bonnie) of Surrey, B.C.; two sisters, Cathy and Robert Perreault of Couchiching First Nation, Ont., and Tracy Linden of Atikokan, Ont.; one step-brother, Allen Singleton Jr. of Couchiching First Nation, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Couchiching Bingo Hall, with Mr. Pat Roach officiating.
Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers will be Janice’s close friends and co-workers.
