JANE SUS

Sus, Jane

It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Ann Sus announces her passing at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at the age of 83, exactly five years to the day after her husband, Fred, passed away.
Jane was born Aug. 20, 1933 to Elsie (nee Neal) and Capt. William Martin in Roddick Township.
She spent much of her childhood years playing and swimming off the Hallett. She used to say the braids in her hair never dried all summer.
Jane loved to paint and over the years created a beautiful collection of artwork for her family and friends to enjoy.
On Nov. 19, 1953, Jane married Fred Sus and together they raised four children in Fort Frances.
Jane was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, cook, and homemaker. She always was ready for a good conversation around her kitchen table. Biscuits, hot out of the oven with butter and jam, would be served on a moment’s notice.
Jane’s true passion was Bridge and, more specifically, winning at Bridge. She truly enjoyed the social aspect of Bridge but the competition delighted her.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, Fred; brothers, Bill Martin and Bob Locke; sister, Pat Magnusson; and sisters-in-law, Vera Fedorchuk (Bill), Netti Livicker (Don), Betty Boyd (Doug), and Vicki Olafson.
She is survived by her children, Lynn Belluz (Wilf), Cathy Mallory (Jim), John Sus (Monica), and Bonnie Mueller (Brian); grandchildren, Jennifer Cain (Clay), Melissa Busch (Jamie), Ariel Mallory, Mathew Mallory, Erica Jaremko (Cory), Adam Sus (Ashley), Steven Sus, Sarah Mueller (Nick Wreggit), Samantha Mueller (Luke Clifford), and chosen grandson, Andrew Mueller; great-grandchildren Ashley, Elizabeth, MacKenzie, Madalynn, and Cameron Cain, and Carley and Jonathan Busch; and great-great-granddaughter, Ava.
Also surviving are her special niece, Janice Sutherland; sister-in-law, Gladys Martin; brother-in-law, Elmer Olafson; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jane’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous (1201 Idylwild Dr.) in Fort Frances.
If friends or family so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Sister Kennedy Center or a charity of their choice.
