He is survived by his loving brother, Jake Scott of Emo; sisters Bernice, Terrace, B.C.; Ruth, New Westminster B.C; Clara, Sooke BC; Alexandria, Kelowna B.C., and Ann, Princeton B.C.

He was predeceased by brothers, Sandy (Alexander) and Donald and parents John and Agnes (Dolly). He will be also remembered by step-children, Shannon and Jessie, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The love of his life, Laurie Ridler, predeceased him ending a relationship that left a hole in Jim’s heart that could not be healed, he missed her so much. Jim leaves behind their cat, Dolly, whom they loved so much and gave joy and happiness to Jim after Laurie’s passing.

Jim was a very generous person and would give you the shirt off his back and would share anything he had. Jim was a very hard worker and gave more than was required.

He had wit and humour and an inner understanding of life that was far deeper that what he showed on the outside. He loved nature and the outdoors.

Jim was a much loved uncle who loved his nieces and nephews and had a true heart and independent spirit.

Special thanks to Sandy and Brian Cochrane for always being there for Jim when he needed help; to Deana and Dan Brusvan for their generosity in providing a home base for Jim.

Jake opened his home when Jim needed him, providing the stability of family that Jim thrived on. He is greatly missed.
