JAMES ELLARD TEEPLE

Jim Teeple passed away unexpectedly at his farm in Black Hawk, Ont. at the age of 65.
Jim was born in Emo, Ont. on Aug. 30, 1943 to the late Ellard and Helen Teeple, and was one of eight children raised on their dairy farm in Black Hawk.
He attended Black Hawk School and Fort Frances High School.
Jim married Alwine Aditha Poley on Dec. 26, 1969 and quickly settled into a family life. They were blessed with five children: Ellard James, Dale Robert, Daniel Craig, Pamela Alwine, and Angela Roswitha.
Jim’s early career was logging and driving truck. He started working for the Township of Chapple in the fall of 1972 as an operator and worked his way up to road superintendent in the late ’70s.
Jim loved working on the farm and helping out his brothers and their families, and later working alongside his own sons and daughter on their farms. He was continually active farming and logging throughout his life.
Jim and Alwine also spent many years volunteering as foster parents and providing a safe, loving home to many children in need.
Jim will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his strong work ethic. He was a good listener and would offer advice when needed. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, with hours spent taking them on “gator” rides and down on the floor playing with their toys.
Jim and Alwine loved travelling together, with trips to Europe, Mexico, British Columbia, and too many trips to count to southern Ontario.
Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Alwine, and their children, Ellard and Lisa, Dale and Melissa, Dan and Julia, and Pam and Murray Wilson. Grandpa will be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren, Ellie, Logan, Ryan, Serena, Cale, Sam, Ben, Daelyn, and Matthew.
