With his family by his side, Jim Kennedy peacefully went home to be with the Lord at the age of 77 years on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
Jim was born June 18, 1929 in Burriss Township to the late Ed and Bertha Kennedy.
For enjoyment, Jim spent summers camping with family and friends. He also loved to garden, fish, and go hunting.
Jim also looked forward to the Emo Fair as he had a love for horses and would enter his nephew’s team of horses. He was known as the senior driver and was proud of the trophies he won.
Jim was a kind and devoted husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Jim is survived by his son, Allan (Sheila); daughters, Maxine (Jack) and Debbie (Steve); second wife of 20 years, Lucille; and stepdaughters, Bonnie (Leo), Connie (Fred), Marilyn Olson, and Denise Patterson.
He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Ted, Eddie, and Ruffuse; and sisters, Vivian, Ila, Fayanne, and Betty.
Jim also is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his first wife of many years, Elaine; son, Butch; brothers, Allan and Bobby; and sisters, Audrey and Helen.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Little Falls Cemetery in Atikokan, Ont.
