Jack Somerville, 77, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. with his family by his side.
Dad was born Nov. 5, 1930 in Fort Frances and spent his entire life here.
He loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger years. After his retirement from the CNR, he enjoyed spending time in his garage, gardening, and feeding the birds.
On Nov. 30, 1950, he married the love of his life, Loraine Green, who predeceased him in 2006. Together they raised three daughters, Lynda Clinker, Laurie Cole, and Penny Somerville.
He was a very dedicated family man and will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Stephen Clinker, Candace Cole, Amanda Dent, Chris Maki, Trevor Clinker, Jennifer Taccarelli, and Jacob Fiesell; as well as his 13 great-grandchildren.
At Dad’s request, there will be no funeral service.
