J. William “Bill” Nastiuk went to his Lord and Saviour on Nov. 23, 2010 in Everett, Wash. with great friend, Jinni, by his side.
He was born in Arbakka, Man. on July 18, 1923.
He lived in Fort Frances, Ont. in his early years until he joined the army during World War II. He served overseas until the end of the war.
Upon his return, he was a clerk at the Rainy Lake Hotel.
Bill moved to Longview, Wash. in 1948, where he worked in sales, and eventually moved to Everett.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary, and father, Magdary; brother, Dmetro; and sisters, Anne and Katherine.
He is survived by his stepson, Keith Nastiuk of Eugene, Ore.; and brother, Nastor and family of Fort Frances, Ont.
He also is survived by grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was an avid golfer, and very proud of having three holes-in-one to his credit.
Cremation has taken place, and he will be buried in Fort Frances at a later date.
