Iva Annie Brown, 80, a resident of Brock Street West, passed away at Port Arthur General Hospital on April 15, 2000.
Iva was born in Bethune, Sask. on June 22, 1919 to the late Melvin and Winnie French.
Iva was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Winnie French; a baby brother, Elmer John French; her first husband, James E.O. Monahan; and her son, William James (Billy) Monahan.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Joseph Brown; two stepsons, Randy (Debbie) Brown, and Keith (Carolyn) Brown; three step-daughters, Karen Brown, Teresa Brown, and Patty (Jerry) Winters; seven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, Edwin (Edith) French of Emo, and Willard (Olive) French of Guelph; one sister, Ella Carruthers of Emo; sisters-in-law, Norma (Bert) Boyd of Dryden and Margarete (Roland) Michard of Dryden; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Brown of Dryden and Norman Brown of Dryden.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 19, 2000 from 7 until 9 p.m. in the Jenkens Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 20, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Jenkens Funeral Home. Rev. Jack White officiated, with interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Brown, Keith Brown, Jerry Winters, Rodney Swire, David Carruthers, and Ollie Anderson.
