She was a strong, loving, and caring woman who endured a lengthy and courageous battle before succumbing to her illness.
She was born March 22, 1935 in Teulon, Man. but resided mainly in Wabigoon, Ont., Barwick, Ont., and then Thunder Bay.
Isabel’s main interests were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved having family and friends over to visit, and blessed them with her company and her cooking. She also loved gardening, reading, and watching cooking shows.
Isabel will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terry (Debbie) Beaulne, Pat (Chris) Galusha, Lonnie Beaulne, Debbie (Fernando) Santamaria, Stewart (Donna) Stanley, Brian Stanley, Ian Stanley, and Hope (Brian) Ailey; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sisters, Dorothy (Bud) and Donna (Norm); and brother, John (Bernice).
She was predeceased by her husbands; parents, Ethel and Donald McLean; step-father, Charlie Ulrich; and sister, Lillian Hamaberg.
As per Mom’s wishes, a private interment will take place at a later date.
She Came to Earth to Plant her Garden
She nourished it and protected it and gave it loving attention
She watched over it until she was sure it could survive without her
Now she has returned from where she came, Her garden will miss her deeply
But because of her love and attention, it will continue to grow and Flourish
Mom: It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the St Joseph’s Hospice Unit.
