ISAAC JANZEN

On January 15, 2022, Isaac Janzen went home to be with his Saviour at the age of 70 years, seven months, 25 days.

He was born on May 21, 1951, in the Stanley Township of Manitoba to Wilhelm and Agatha (Martens) Janzen.

In his growing up years, they traveled back and forth from Alberta to Southern Ontario for work, hoeing beets and picking tomatoes.

He accepted the Lord into his heart and life at the age of 19 and was baptized May 31, 1971, at the Pinewood Rhinelander Church.

On October 1, 1972, he was united in marriage to Margaret Krahn. God blessed them with 49 years together.

He enjoyed a number of trades over the years, logging, dairy, driving feed truck, and hauling scrap.

Saturday, January 15, seemed to be a normal day until he was found on the shop floor around 7 p.m.. He was taken to Fort Frances hospital and died at 11:35 from catastrophic bleeding on the brain.

Left to mourn his passing are: his beloved wife Margaret; six sons and four daughters: William (Joy) Vanderhoof, B.C., Herman of Rainy River, George (Nerissa) of Elk Point, Alta., David (Marrilee) of Barriere, B.C., Judith (David Mack) of Gretna, Man., Frank of Regina, Sask., Agatha (Daniel Hamm) of Rosthern, Sask., Helena (Travis Witmer) of Bernville, Pa.,; Jonathan at home, Lisa (James McCormick) of Listowel, Ont. and 24 grandchildren (13 girls and 11 boys); one brother and 2 sisters: Bill (Mary) of Pansy, Man., Agatha (John Harder) of Grunthal, Man., Betty of Winkler, Man., one aunt Helen (Abe Reimer); nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Agatha; and his parents-in-law Gerhard and Judith (Neufeld) Krahn; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law; three nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Woodside Mennonite Church, Sleeman, Ont. Funeral service was on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Pineview Mennonite Church for family and by invitation.

Interment will take place at Pineview Mennonite Cemetery.
