Irvine Daryl Hayes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, of Everett, Wash., passed away Feb. 8, 2001 with his family at his side.
Irvine was born July 17, 1935, the youngest son of Lloyd and Vera Hayes at his grandparents’ farm, Dick and Charlotte Hayes of Barwick, Ont.
He took his education in Barwick for two years and then the Ontario School for the Deaf in Belleville, Ont.
Irvine married Connie Ann Adee of International Falls, Mn. on March 27, 1964. He and Connie raised a family of two daughters and a son.
They lived in Atikokan, Ont. and he worked at Sapawe for Domtar. He then moved to British Columbia and worked in a shingle mill, then moved to Everett, Wash. in 1973 and worked for Nord Co. making doors and windows.
They closed and then he worked hard self-employed plus part-time for a coffee company.
Irvine leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Connie; daughters, Carol and Sandra; son, Irvine and wife, Michelle; and five grandchildren, Parker, Marsadies, twin boys, Chris and Mike, and Theresa.
Also surviving are sister, Colleen and Gordon Ball of B.C.; brother, Dick and Rosie Hayes and family of Alberta; sister-in-law, Betty and family of Everett, Wash.; brothers-in-law, Jerry and Danny Adee and families of International Falls, Mn., and Jim Adee and family of Oregon; and father-in-law, Dave Adee of Minnesota.
He was predeceased by baby daughter, Susan Vera on Sept. 2, 1969; father, Lloyd Hayes on April 8, 1973; mother, Vera Hayes on July 22, 1985; mother-in-law, Bessie and husband Gene Melum; and brother-in-law, Darral Adee.
Irvine will be sadly missed by his wife, family, sister, and brothers, and his many friends he had from wherever he went. He had a very happy go lucky personality.
May he rest in peace with all the love of family and his many friends.
