IRIS ARDELL REID

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Iris A. Reid, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to so many, on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the age of 76.
Iris was born March 7, 1932 in Carpenter Township, Ont. to the late Ralph and Laura Wilson. On Jan. 22, 1955, she was united in marriage to Percy Reid, who predeceased her in 1984.
She is survived by her son, Brian and friend, Gloria Wager of Fort Frances, Ont.; two granddaughters, Stacey (Darryl) Clarence of Burlington, Ont. and Jacquelyn Reid and friend, Matt McKeough, of London, Ont.; brothers, Willard, Jim (Eliza), Alex (Linda), and Dan (Ellen); sisters, Lydia Wilson and Liz (Nick) Kluk; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Iris was predeceased by sister-in-law, Joyous Wilson.
Iris spent her entire life in Emo, Ont., living on the family farm and later moving into town, where she worked at the Red Cross Hospital until retirement.
Iris was one of the original residents of the Golden Age Manor in Emo. She enjoyed life and those around her telling stories and sharing recipes, patterns, and lots of laughter.
At her request, there will be no funeral service and interment will take place in Emo Cemetery at a later date.
