Irene H. Anderson, 70, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 1999 at Falls Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 30, 1929 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Nick and Annie Halus, and attended school here.
On Aug. 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to Nils F. Anderson of the Falls. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past summer with friends and family.
She attended the Evangelical Covenant Church in the Falls.
She was predeceased by her father, Nick Halus; step-father, Tom Cherwinski; and mother, Annie Cherwinski.
Survivors include her husband, Nils F. Anderson of the Falls; sons, Tom Anderson of Mount View, Cal., and Peter (Carol) Anderson of the Falls; daughters, Theo (Dick) Dobie of Kennewick, Wash., Patricia (John) Bujold of Prince George, B.C., and Pamela (Keith) O’Brien of South St. Paul, Mn.; sisters, Mary (James) Kennedy of San Diego, Cal., and Sophie (Hartman) Brothern of Bagley, Mn.; and grandchildren, Laura and Kate Anderson of the Falls, Joseph Dobie of Kennewick, Wash., and Ashley, Mathew, and Brandon Bujold of Prince George, B.C.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999 at 2 p.m., at the Evangelical Covenant Church in International Falls, with Pastor Larry Connors officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to the Evangelical Covenant Church building fund.
