Irene D. Bradford, 79, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 1999 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. following a lengthy illness.
She was the beloved wife of C.F. (Brad) Bradford, who predeceased her July 22, 1984.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Karen (Fred) Moroz of London, Lynda (John) Bagacki of Winnipeg, Lola (Al) Hymers of Dryden, and Lila Bradford of London.
She also will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Krista, Nikki and Marthe Moroz, Rachel (Gary) Boyd and Bradford (Jennifer) Bagacki, Ryan and Jessica Hymers, and Joel Bradford.
She also is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Maurice Vaillancourt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Helen, Beatrice, and Nora; and brothers, Robert and John.
Irene was born Oct. 25, 1920 in Stratton, Ont. to the late Simon and Nellie McMahon.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church as well as the Royal Canadian Legion, and in her earlier years enjoyed curling and her close companionship with her sisters.
During World War II, she spent several years as a defence plant worker in Ajax, Ont.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church.
