Ida Jean “Jeanne” Magson, nee Books, 1941-2022, passed away peacefully at the Melville Hospice in South Surrey, B.C., on Sept. 13, 2022.
Beloved Sister, Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, she is survived by her brother Frank (Carla) Books; sister Colleen McConnell; daughters Sherri and Nicole; son Sean Magson (Teri Johnson); grandchildren Cortney (Ian) Hotman, Christian (Kaysee) Johnson, Kaila Merkerson (Sarae Randell); and great-grandchildren Rowan, Sophia, Emma, Bay, and Lucas.
Jeanne is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ronald Edwin Magson (d. 2019) and her parents Robert and May Books.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Amenity Room of Derby Downs, 17740 58A Ave., Surrey, B.C., on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Donations in Jeanne’s honour may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Peace Arch Hospice Society, with the family’s gratitude.
