Hilda Florence Busch went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, with her family by her side, at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Hilda was born May 22, 1918 in Whitewood, Sask. to Edmund and Rachel Brown.
She would have been 97 on the 22nd of this month.
Hilda married the love of her life, William Busch, on Oct 15, 1941. They lived several years in Saskatchewan before later moving to Ontario, where Bill worked in the mines at Geraldton and Atikokan.
Hilda was a homemaker and a great mother to their two children, Marilyn and Ken.
Hilda loved to fish on their pontoon boat at Calm Lake. She also was a very active member of the Riverview United Church.
Hilda also had received a 50-year service award from the Royal Canadian Legion in Atikokan.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband in 1987; brothers, Edward and Frank; and sister, May.
She leaves behind her daughter, Marilyn (Roy) Brown and son, Ken (Nansi) Busch; grandchildren, Lori (Gilbert) Chan, Bonnie (Mark) Broman, Darryl Brown (Hazel), Tawnya Busch (Pablo), and Tara Busch (James); great-grandchildren, Sandra (Evan) Gowriluk, Melissa (Joel) Patterson, Lee Chan, Chris Broman (Claire), Rylee Broman (Brennan), Shania, Robbie, and Kirzel; and great-great-grandchildren, Mckoel and Jax Patterson.
Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Norman (Yvette) Busch and Lloyd (Joyce) Busch; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Hallett Hall at Rainycrest in Fort Frances.
Rev. Barbara Miller of Knox United Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
