It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Helen Marie Bodnar at the age of 65. She passed away Thursday, May 27, 2004 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Helen was born June 21, 1938 in Crozier, Ont. to Gustaf and Maria Gustafson. She was united in marriage to Edward Bodnar on Sept. 25, 1959.
She leaves behind her husband, Edward; children, Debbie and husband, Paul Miller, and their children, Erik and Kirk, all of Winnipeg, Man., and Blake and wife, Shelley, and their children, Brandon, Colton, and Reed, and Tina and her husband, Brent Tookenay, and their son, Ian, all of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are her sisters, Gladys Sampson, and Elsie and husband, George Hampton; brothers, Allan Gustafson and wife, Colleen, Victor Gustafson and wife, Bev, and Albert Gustafson and wife, Karen; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Gustaf and Maria Gustafson; brother, Stanley; and brother-in-law, Dunn Sampson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Knox United Church in Fort Frances, with Rev. Marietta Marshall officiating. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit prior to the service.
The pallbearers will be Howard and Ken Hampton, Dale and David Gustafson, Brent Tookenay, and Paul Miller.
