HELEN KATHERINE HALVERSON

Helen Katherine Halverson, 68, of 1231 First St. E., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Monday, July 5, 1999 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Helen was born Sept. 2, 1930 in Emo, Ont. She attended the Fort Frances High School and graduated from grade 12 in 1980.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the church choir, and was very active in her church. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the bridge club. She did crochet work and also was a very good cook.
She had many friends who loved her. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
Helen was united in marriage Nov. 19, 1955 to Carl (Chuck), who survives with their two sons, Todd and wife, Sherri, of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Lorne of Fort Frances, Ont.; and daughter-in-law, Melissa of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jenna, George, and Erik; one brother, Joseph Carl Heisler of Emo, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Cecilia Heisler.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 9, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances, with Pastor Robert Ek officiating.
Honourary pallbearers will be Roy Brown, Ray Stewart, Phil Williamson, Rudy Meyers, Don Skinner, Rick Anderson, Dave Bragg, and John Dick.
