HELEN JOYCE KRAG

With profound sorrow we mark the passing of Helen Joyce Krag, of Fort Frances, Ont., on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at the age of 75.
Helen was born May 31, 1934 in Devlin, Ont. She married Basil “Bud” Krag on Oct 23, 1954.
She was predeceased by Bud; her parents, Elsie and Duncan McLay; and her brothers, Allan and Jim.
She is survived by her three children and their families: son, Jim, his wife, Kris, and their children, Jen (great-granddaughter, Lake) and Steve; daughter, Kate, her husband, Dan Allard, and their children, Peter and Paul; and son, Bill, his stepdaughter, April, and his wife, Mitzi, and her children, Riley and Randy.
She also is survived by her sister, Norma Law; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen worked at Don Law Ltd. and for the Ministry of the Environment. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and of late served the hospital auxiliary in the gift shop.
She was a long-time member of the curling club, and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and knitting.
A celebration of her life was held Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at her home.
